It’s been 20+ years since I last visited Uwajimaya, and wow there is so much to look at! From the grocery store to an amazing bookstore filled with cute toys, puzzles, and books, there’s something everywhere you turn. The upper level has even more great things to explore. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay long, but on my next visit I’ll definitely spend more time looking around because there is so much to see. There’s also a food court with some great options if you’re hungry. I highly recommend this store. It’s very clean, and the employees are friendly. It was a great little stop on my adventure.

Wonderful supermarket for all your needs. Best general store for the neighborhood, we didnt have many other options around. Very clean and even during peak hours, multiple staff helped with our needs. Thank you! Unfortunately, only took photos of the gachapon area.

Uwajimaya is hands-down one of the best Asian grocery stores around. The selection is incredible — from fresh produce and specialty Asian ingredients to snacks and pantry staples you won’t find anywhere else. Their deli and prepared foods are always delicious and make it way too easy to grab a quick meal while shopping. I also love browsing their homewares section; they always have high-quality kitchen tools, cookware, and unique items that make great gifts. And the stationery section is fantastic — tons of beautiful paper goods, pens, and notebooks that are fun to explore. Whether I’m doing a full grocery run or just popping in for something quick, Uwajimaya never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Always a pleasure to shop at Uwajimaya. A clean store with likely thousands of specialty products well below the prices of most local major retail chains. I just wish driving in the International District wasn't such a headache most days or else I'd shop here more often. I probably found half of the Christmas Presents I bought this year in their imported toy section and at the bookstore. If they don't have specific merchandise in stock the employees are knowledgeable enough to tell you which of the other local businesses in the ID would carry what you're looking for. I've probably found half a dozen other shops due to their recommendations.

Decent place to go for Asian groceries and deli. They have a good selection of meats and Asian gifts as well. They also have a food court with all sorts of vendors that is pretty good. While they have a parking lot, it can be congested during peak shopping hours.
