I think this used to be called Ballard Market, I'm from Indiana and was visiting. I like the feel and layout of the store. It reminds me of a very large old school grocery store. It feels friendly, not sterile like a Walmart. The produce section was great, the meat also looked great. I liked the checkouts. If I lived here, this would be my favorite store.

I had a very disappointing experience at this store. After purchasing two items at the self-checkout, a staff member chased after me and stopped me outside the store to question whether I had paid for them, despite having watched me scan and pay for both items. Being stopped outside the store left me feeling unfairly treated. I would appreciate an explanation as to why I was singled out after completing a legitimate purchase.

I dont know what the hell this store problem is. But every time I come in as a colored person to eat from the hot bar there always an (All of sudden) employee on his phone monitoring where I sit and and watches my every move like I haven't done security before and a for a number of years like WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR!? I DONT GET THIS AT THE AURORA STORE? and I rarely go to that one even tho its WAY BETTER. And has items stocked on time.

Solid high end grocery store. Strengths produce, meat. Weaknesses: bakery prepared foods. Wine selection is top notch

I'm a small-town girl, so maybe I would be impressed with any big-city grocery store, but this place is amazing! I could easily eat for a couple of weeks from the salad bar, soup bar, and other hot and cold prepared foods alone. Then I could go nuts with the cheese section, and the pickled vegetable section (ten varieties of kimchi?! I swear we're not in Korea, or even the International District!), and the beautifully-curated liquor and wine section, and... and... and... You can order ahead for pick-up, but with plenty of parking in the lot and so many hidden treasures, I say you should go in and discover that grocery shopping can be fun.
