This is a very interesting location with a mix of stores and living spaces. I got the items on my list plus three 50% off items that were excellent. I highly recommend this Honey Crisp Apple Juice... it's to die for! While this location is not as large as the others, the items that I need are generally in stock. The only hassle is parking. It's difficult to find a space around 5pm as everyone is trying to get in there too.

Whole Foods never disappoints! Their frozen vegetable selection is one of the best I’ve seen—always fully stocked with high-quality, organic options that taste fresh and cook perfectly. Beyond the frozen section, their overall healthy food selection is outstanding. Fresh produce, clean ingredients, and plenty of wholesome choices make it easy to shop with confidence. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for great healthy options and top-notch frozen veggies and fresh produce, Whole Foods is definitely the place to go!

I’ve always had a great experience at Whole Foods. The staff are consistently kind, approachable, and willing to assist with any questions, which makes the shopping experience enjoyable. One thing that really stands out is their flower selection—it’s surprisingly large and diverse. From seasonal bouquets to potted plants, there’s always something fresh and beautiful available. It’s clear they put thought into the quality and presentation. A great place to shop whether you need groceries, gifts, or just a little pick-me-up.

Some highlights from this review: 🔴 Parking difficulties. (Try parking in the garage.) 🟡 Friendly service but poor packing for your grocery-3 out of 5 times (Double check before loading) 🟢 Good selection of organic produce and products. 🟢 Wine section available. Note: Smaller shopping cart may prefer due to tight space between aisles. I have been a whole food shopper for many years since I was back in East coast. I do almost all my groceries at Whole Food because of its good quality of fresh organic produce and the large varieties of organic and NonGMO product selections. For example, even grass-fed beef or lamb meat and grass fed milk, vegan food options or vegan option skin care products. Whole Food in KC downtown may offer more trendy brands than the Overland Park one in some cases. Same as the prepared food section and bakery items are better than OP one. They also have a smoothies section and wine section to save you from making another stop from your shopping trip if you also want some wine for your dinner party or a refreshing smoothie while you are shopping. The tea, coffee and wine bar is at the corner of the store and nice to have a quick bite and some refreshing drink with friends and family. Be aware: The parking situation is not too great. The space in between cars are narrower and tighter in my opinion. The traffic from coming in and backing up for leaving can be very difficult, so be extra cautious for that. My recommendation is parking in the parking garage to avoid the waiting and stuck in between the coming and going traffic. Another downside of the shopping experience is making sure your groceries were packed correctly because the cashiers are very friendly but almost every time when I’m there my groceries weren’t packed correctly or carefully enough and messed up my items. They may be too busy and not taking time to make sure things are packed carefully, especially when you bring your own bags. In that case, please take some time to double check when you transfer your grocery bags into your car. For this reason, I definitely prefer the service provided in Overland Park site. Another thing that may worth to be considered is using a smaller cart, if possible. For the space between the aisles can be very limited and crowded especially when other shoppers are also in the same aisle as you. Pick the smaller size one if you can manage your items. Hopefully these information helps and ease your shopping experience there. Happy shopping at Whole Food KC Downtown!

Not much to say from what we already know about this large chain store. Big selection and variety of items that you will not find at other local grocery stores. Lots of organic options compared to Sun Fresh and Price Chopper from the surrounding area. KC streetcar stop has been opened just minutes from the door. A tip for those going to shop at Wholefoods, the entrance on 51st street can get hectic and congested. The entrance on Oak street is much more manageable and will also lead to the second floor of the parking garage where there’s much more parking without the hassle of other drivers.
