It is a necessary thing to be done to raise awareness about the doubtful quality of some of the food items this store carries. While my sister was in town running some errands not long ago she made a stop at this store to grab something to eat on the go. She purchased a sandwich and ate a good portion of it before she realized that there was something wrong with the food she was eating. When she pushed her curiosity to looking into the sandwich, lo and behold, it was full of mold. She informed her husband about it and he too drove to the same store and purchased the same item. To his great surprise the sandwich he bought was moldy as well. What kind of negligence is this? Mold is not something to take lightly. My sister had to be admitted into the ER at the Liberty hospital. Because she got very sick and almost puked her gut out. To this reviews I add pictures and receipts so other customers may be very careful about what they purchase from the Hung Vuong Market. Hope this helps someone out there.

My mother and I spent an hour an a half "discovering" this store! I'm new to any type of Asian-style cooking, and have been learning everything I can, but I live very rural, and there are a lot of ingredients I wanted to try. So I went in here and we bought a bunch! This store is NOT fancy, so if that's what you looking for, forget it. But they have an amazing selection and I felt the prices on most things were very reasonable. I bought daikon and baby Bok Choy, and they were quite fresh and delicious. I was so fascinated and overwhelmed by the size of the store and so many ingredients I've never heard of that I left without Miso, which was on my list! We will definitely go back.

PROs: Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are affordable. Fresh baked goods and/or small, quick meals. Kitchenware. Asian giftshop. CONs: Upfront parking is very limited. It's an Asian market, seafood smells. Never fails, I will find what I need here and thensome. BONUS! I bought a 6x9 straw mat, $45, for my large patio. Online findings were going for $200+.

It has a nice variety of Asian items and my Vietnamese wife liked the availability of items native to Vietnam. However, items weren't clearly priced and we paid for some items that in retrospect were vastly overpriced and more expensive than they should have been.

I come here because it's usually a one-stop shop for my Asian produce needs. It's a hit and miss sometimes if I want something fresh.
