I was happy to find a place to buy groceries for my Asian dishes. We moved here from west coast and I have been missing my HMart. I would have given 5 stars but at check out I seemed a bit rushed and an item was rang up twice; while my stuff was still on checkout table she started ringing up my daughter’s groceries. I finally asked can I have a bag? I don’t have anywhere to put my stuff. Maybe, I just won’t buy so much next time then I won’t get double charged. I might have overwhelmed her with all the items I bought. I didn’t notice the mistake until I got all the way home 35 minutes later. However, even with this slight hiccup the selection was excellent and prices great.

This place was so much fun to explore. It gave me some much needed culture that I was craving for some reason. We initially went there to find a couple items for a recipe we were going to try. It turned into an entirely fun excursion. I recommend Chinatown Food Market for all your Asian cuisine needs!

I have not been to this grocery in about 10 years. I didn't enjoy it the last time I was there it was very dark, old, dirty. It's a whole new experience now.. the place has been beautifully remodeled, it's clean, friendly staff & well lit. Definitely four star experience and I'll be back. If you looking for a decent Asian market in the Kansas City area this is the place to go

I love this market so much! Me and my family went to this market and found amazing stuff for amazing prices. We found a lot of stuff you can’t really find anywhere else in Kansas. The area around this place is pretty cool and has lots of cultural. We thought the mural was very cool and even took a picture.

Tons of variety including fresh produce, live seafood, and imported goods. They have a good variety of root vegetables, tropical fruits and tons of dried and canned goods. The prices are very reasonable with a pretty fast checkout. They offer free boxes for carry out, so bring up own bags if that’s preferred.
