The lady store manager mistook my one day post-op bandaged hand as store merchandise (deodorant according to her) and accused me of shoplifting. Instead of admitting her mistake, she had me and my elderly mother escorted from the store for mo reason. We were shopping for OTC meds because I was in pain one day post-op. There are multiple complaints online of this specific store manager. Safeway has done nothing to rectify her abhorrent behavior. This was my regular grocery store but I don't feel safe with this store manager. Is this how Safeway treats their regular customers? This store manager ignored all Safeway protocols and steps for dealing with shoplifting. She used poor judgement and did not display appropriate management qualities. She is not qualified to be a store manager. Update: Safeway replied asking me to visit their contact page to provide my contact information referencing this review. I have already done so. Safeway, please refer to the complaint I already submitted directly on your contact website which provides all this information. You many also contact me through the BBB complaint I filed. Update 2: safeway corporate contacted me about the incident and took my and my mom's statments.

The dairy section here /always/ looks like a Walmart the day after Black Friday. Like they get fed less if the dairy racks get restocked before midnight. All the fairly priced stuff is gone, only half gallon tumbleweeds in their place. If I wanted to pay $8.50 for a half gallon of organic, hand-massaged artisanal cow juice, I'd just buy the cow and do it myself for $8.

I believe this is for the Montclair Villiage Safeway (my neighborhood)... The store has two good-sized parking lots (upper and lower), so it's pretty easy getting in and out. The store is generally well stocked, and the staff are great. I don't say that lightly either; about 1 year ago, on a very hectic day, I had just come from the bank. Long story short, my bundle of cash somehow fell out of my sweatshirt pocket on the stairs. I didn't notice it and did my shopping using a card. It was only until the next morning that I realized what had happened. Oh Shiiiit. I went back to the store right away and spoke with one of the staff (feeling like an idiot, and not expecting to have any luck). Amazingly, and thankfully, one of the store staff had found my cash and turned it in to the management. A good deal on groceries is nice, but having my faith in humanity re-invigorated is priceless.

This is absolutely the best safe way I've ever been in. It's huge. It's clean the staffer everywhere and they are so accommodating
