✅ I love the parking — super convenient. ❌ The staff isn’t exactly the friendliest. ❌ I rarely find what I’m looking for; I usually end up buying something similar instead. ❌ There’s no signal and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work well. So if you need to Google something or access your bank account, I recommend doing it before going in. ✅ They’re open late, which is great — but the pharmacy is not. ❌fruits are not the best

This is a decent store. There is no service the moment you walk in, and their WiFi doesn't work that well. Their self-checkout stations always have problems, and their new readers don't work too well. I've seen some messes here and there, but nothing substantial or dangerous. I come here often and the staff have always been friendly. There are always deals and all you need is your phone number. They are open very late for a grocery store which is a really nice touch.

This store has a no gift card sales after 11pm policy. However, the checker was not aware of the policy and proceeded to process my transaction. I was charged for my gift cards but I was told I need to return to the store in the morning to activate and store staff will have to call a hotline. I was told a refund wasn't possible. There was no signage, and inadequately trained staff that charged my credit card but I had to leave the store without the goods I paid for. All this, two days before Christmas when I definitely don't have the time to come into the store and deal with a long customer service transaction. I'm also very worried that the gift cards will not be adequately activated before I give them as gifts. This is unacceptable and I do not appreciate that I will be losing time due to their mistake.

I have long supported Albertsons stores because they tend to have good union representation and, at least historically, would hire people with disabilities. Knowing that I was supporting a union shop offset some of the higher prices than the alternatives (namely TJs and Aldi). I have, however, two major complaints about this location: First, the number of items behind lock and key is ridiculous. If I want any medication or shampoo, it turns a 5 minute trip into a 15 minute one. I actively avoid going to Safeway if I know my grocery list includes something they have locked up, it's a waste of my time, and by now I cannot count the number of times (and thousands of dollars) Safeway has missed out from me alone because of this avoidance. Second, a recent change which prompted this review: The new paper bags do not have handles. This may seem like a small thing, but as someone with physical disability that makes carrying items more difficult and painful, I have had struggled with this change. It's another reason to avoid little trips to my neighborhood Safeway because if I don't have a bag with me I'll be walking home in pain. So I'll be skipping Safeway more often.

Aisles are clean and well stocked. They have both regular and organic produce. Some labels with prices are not well placed, specially those that are on special. On several items in the refrigerated section the buy 2 get one free was folded in such a way as to be facing away from consumers. Least favorite part is that all the personal care items like toothpaste and hand creams are locked and you have to wait for it to be removed from the cabinet. It is then handed to the customer (not taken to the cashier). I get that this might deter theft, but for the most part it just feels like an inconvenience.
