Great place to shop. The prices have creeped up over the years. They let you use their bathroom. Self checkout is great.

Check your receipt! Despite their egregious high prices they overcharge all the time. I complain and get a refund but they do not fix the shelf price

This lucky store store number 736 located at 247 East 18th Street in Oakland California is the worst store that I have ever shopped at. I asked the cashier Zahida to check the balance on my gift card and she charged me 30 cents for a store bag just to check the balance on the Lucky's gift card I never asked to buy a bag. So why would you charge me for something I didn't buy to check the balance of lucky store gift card. Then when I finish purchasing my item with the gift card I asked to cash out the remaining balance. I was told by the manger Brian and cashier Mary S. That they don't do this type of transaction. I informed them that California law Under Civil Code Section 1749.5(b)(2), they were out of compliance. The manager didn't care and walked away. So I called corporate office and did a survey and this review. I hope California sues them for breaking the law I otter call consumer affairs and the state file a complaint.

They are understaffed, have no baskets, and don’t carry regular basil, instead forcing you to pay $7 for “live basil”, which is a gimmick that nobody who cares about money would ever buy when given a choice. I’m done waiting 20 minutes in line when I can go to Whole Foods and PAY LESS than I would here.

I had a very disappointing experience at this store. The cashier was extremely rude and handled my items carelessly, even throwing them instead of packing them properly. As a result, two jars of baby food were broken. I’ve never encountered this level of poor customer service before. This was unacceptable and very frustrating.
