Guys please do not go to the location… I found mold on my corn the day I bought it. And I was looking through their produce and it all looks old and moldy.. I couldn’t imagine if I wasn’t about to cut it and didn’t see it. I’m so disgusted I’ve been going to this Tom Thumb for years and it’s been going down hill. Even bought chicken one time and found worms on it… wanted to throw up I’ve never seen corn look like this WARNING DO NOT GO HERE

I come here almost every other day for things. During the day I usually have no problems. But during the evening the guy who works customer service with long braids is the rudest most inconsiderate person I think I’ve ever met (like in my whole life). Apparently I was talking too quietly for him and he made a big deal out of it and treated me like I was crazy. The whole interaction left me pretty upset.

I love this location. Always have everything in stock. Friendly team members. Pick up orders need a better system. WiFi rarely works when you arrive for pick up. They have a home for you to call onsite that never works. No phone number to the store listed onsite. It’s hard to google the number with poor internet in the garage.

On Friday, January 30, I had a very upsetting experience at Tom Thumb. I am a regular customer and have always shopped at this location without any issues. However, during this visit, after I reached checkout, I experienced a small issue and asked customer support for help. While I was speaking with customer service for a few minutes, an officer approached me. I was visibly nervous and fearful, yet the officer remained close by. Because I felt extremely uncomfortable, I left the store briefly to calm myself. When I returned, I expected the situation to de-escalate, but instead the officer continued to follow me through multiple aisles and hallways throughout the store. This made me feel increasingly anxious and unsafe. The experience was overwhelming to the point where I nearly passed out. I have never felt this level of fear while shopping here before. I am sharing this feedback because I hope Tom Thumb can ensure customers feel safe, respected, and comfortable while shopping. I also hope there can be more emphasis on friendly, reassuring interactions that do not cause unnecessary distress. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience.

To be clear, the customer service staff is the worst part of this location. During the daytime, there are two Black ladies (one named Nia, and unfortunately I didn't catch the other's name), and in the evening there is a Black guy with braids. All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.
