Worst grocery store in the city. Look how long the self checkout line is. They have 3 lanes for checkout with only one person working a register. 8 other self checkouts closed. So what’s the point in being open.

They hardly ever have shopping baskets available at the entrance, and the staff is short with people, dismissive, and rude. Often times prices are incorrectly marked and they will not make it right when it rings up higher than the marked price. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of one is because their prices are slightly lower than Tom Thumb. If you’re looking for positive Customer Service, this location needs accountability and an overhaul.

My review is regarding the food delivery service. Today is the first time that I have used the Kroger grocery delivery service. The Cedar Springs location is fairly close and I wanted to give them a try. The order was easy to place; all of the items that I needed were in stock. There were lots of delivery dates and times to choose from. I was kept informed and updated as needed. The delivery was timely; the delivery person, Johnathan, was pleasant on approach and had a helpful manner. My groceries were in perfect condition, no expired dates, no open packages, nothing smashed or damaged. Best of all, everything that I had ordered was delivered. Wow!

I have never been hung up on by customer service before this call, let alone twice…I asked a simple question about firewood availability and was told “I don’t know,” the lady refused a transfer, and then disconnected our call. When I called back, she told me I must have hung up first, then immediately hung up on me again. Completely unacceptable behavior that reflects a serious lack of training or accountability. I will not be shopping here again. Being hung up on twice for asking a basic inventory question is unacceptable. If this is the level of customer service this store tolerates, I won’t be shopping here again. Management should seriously evaluate how calls are handled, because this experience alone guarantees lost business. If you need firewood, go to Tom Thumb called them right after and they were super kind and very helpful. And yes, they have wood!

The worst run Kroger you will ever visit. We don’t have a lot of close by options so we go back even though we should know better. Make sure you check the expiration dates on everything you buy. Tonight the line for the self check out had over 20 people in it.
