The overwhelming smell of fried chicken hits you the moment you walk through the door and unfortunately lingers on your clothes and hair long after you leave. It really takes away from the overall shopping experience. I only visit when absolutely necessary, and every time I do, it’s a reminder of why I don’t come more often. I hope management considers better ventilation, as it would make a big difference for customers.

It breaks my heart to write this review because this is where I did 80% of my family's shopping for the past 2 years and was really one of my favorite places to shop, but after last night I will not be returning. I was shopping with my two young children in a double stroller. My two year old daughter and my 3 year old mentally delayed daughter. Since I was already pushing my kids in a stroller I did not use a cart but I did use the basket under my stroller to hold my groceries while shopping. I paid for everything in two different transactions in self shelf out. One transaction was wic items the other was cash. I was on my way out the door and a man in a hoodie started yelling yo yo. I stopped to look thinking I might of dropped something and he looked at the guard at the door and said what your radio is off or something. He then looked at me and said I need to see if you paid for your onions. By now everyone is looking at us and im extremely embarrassed that this is happening to me with the children with me. I show him both of my receipts and my then gets down and starts looking in the bottom of my stroller. He sees everything is paid for and gives me back my receipts and says ok. No sorry or anything for the embarrassment just caused to me or my kids over a bag of onions that where on sale for $1. If I was being watched that hard that they already knew what i purchase they should of watched that hard to see that I paid for everything instead of causing that embarrassment to me and my family just to find out I paid and not feel any remorse for what they did. I understand protecting the store from theft but assuming a hard working person is stealing and asking them to prove they didn't is a insult especially infront of their young children and no type of sorry after is low blow.

Just terrible. I sincerely have no idea how other reviewers would describe this location as well-stocked; this is my neighborhood store and I can assure you that bare shelves are not a rare sight at this Giant. Today really blew my mind, however. I went in this afternoon and almost half of the produce shelves were completely barren. The ones that weren't empty frequently held items that should have been disposed of days ago (see my pictures). I came across numerous wilted, half-rotted, or completely moldy items. As a former produce clerk myself, it's hard to imagine how management would find this acceptable. It does not instill confidence in how fresh food is handled in other parts of the store like the meat department or the deli. Aside from the state of the groceries, the shopping experience is pretty unpleasant. I got panhandled TWICE in the same shopping trip by the same guy inside the store. They don't seem to have any smaller carts or hand-baskets, so you're stuck navigating a crowded store full of huge carts and inventory robots. During the busiest times of the day, it's impossible to move around the front of the store because there's a huge backup and only ever about 2 of the 6 non-self-check registers open. There is a consistent pile of trash outside the store because people hang out in the alcove by the subway station all day and there's no garbage can by the entrance. This might be the worst managed Giant in Philly. It's worth going a little further to one of the other grocery stores in the area if that's feasible for you.

A really lovely addition to the area! We live within a 2 minute walk from this Giant and were really excited when this location opened up. The store is extremely clean, well stocked and organized. Parking is available around the back of the store in their underground lot for those that need to drive in. Free 2 hour parking and you’ll need your receipt! Overall, we will absolutely be shopping here frequently given the proximity and fresh produce/meats etc. A go to for all your grocery needs!

My experience there every time I go there it's generally nice. My experience today in the store was fantastic. When I parked I made a mistake and parked in the area that is reserved for people who do groceries and deliver them. Honest mistake. I was approached aggressively by someone wearing the food Giant vest and threatened with him writing me a ticket I was unaware that he was law enforcement. His demeanor and approach was aggressive and I matched his aggressive demeanor with my own aggressive demeanor. My wife asked me to disengage and used my name. This man used my name and tried minimize me by calling me "mikey" That's what little kids are called. I became very rude and used vulgar language I matched his aggression I made no threats I just insulted him. He proceeded to tell me that my wife saved me. This tells me that he was ready to do physical violence on me. I'm glad that my better sensibilities had me exit the area this aggressive approach that this employee used is unprofessional and disgusting. I know that being aggressive with customers is not a way to keep customers. That's not healthy for anybody I called the store manager to report this but I feel like I was ignored. I will go to corporate with this matter. Make sure you don't park in the wrong area or Clarence will aggressively threaten you with a ticket and try to intimidate you. I will no longer go there. I had to share this experience. Getting aggressive over a parking space is ridiculous. Clarence needs to go to human communication classes. Besides parking in an area by mistake, i only matched his aggressive demeanor. I did use vulgar language. I was insulting only to match his direspect. Shame on you, Clarence.
