Every time I visit Charlotte, I make a point of coming to US Foods CHEF'STORE. It's a wonderland — food of every kind for sale in huge quantities for restaurant use and low prices I find hard to imagine, high quality chef's tools and restaurant equipment. The one big challenge of shopping there is to restrain oneself from buying that bag of cinnamon sticks that would last more than a lifetime, or that humongous bag of popcorn, not to mention the bottle of vanilla at rock-bottom prices that would take the rest of one's life to use up. I also like that many of the offerings are locally themed, like large cans of collard and turnip greens or of field peas and black-eyed peas.

For Home Goods this Store is a charming home goods store that feels like stepping into a cozy magazine spread. When I come to Charlotte which is a few times per week I shop here because it is very quiet, clean ,orderly and for the most part a smooth transition. The managers are pretty good except the Hispanic guy that speaks fair to not much good English ( always rude) and seems to hate helping me. I came on here because of today’s HORRIBLE experience with the cashier Mikayla. OMG! Every time she rings me up she’s either on her cell phone texting , never smiles and always handles me without proper care. Her customer service STINKSSS!! I also came yesterday and the eggs rang up the wrong price so she told ME to walk and go way back in the fridge area to take a picture and bring it to her to verify . Huh? She should have called someone else to verify or walk back there not me.. Pooooor treatment on her behalf. Today the strawberries rang up wrong as well.. At the end of the transaction I noticed she didn’t adjust the price so I asked what about the strawberries? She said nastily what about it? I said the price is incorrect,so she called someone to check and I was correct in pricing. Mikayla changed the prices and I asked so how much will they be after my transaction (just asked so I know if I will purchase more her tomorrow or go someplace else w a better price) again she nastily said YOUR NOT GETTING THEM AT THAT PRICE.. That (new price) or (this old price) just ridiculous! I wanted to wring her neck from how mean , disrespectful and discourteous she was and always is.. I spoke with the general manager who is always ready to serve , helpful , professional and attentive. He promised to address the sue which I am sure he will but I really hate the experience I had today in your store. Signed extremely dissatisfied loyal customer who seemed thousands of dollars weekly with the chef store.. I’ve never been treated this bad in your store by any employee but her..

Buyer beware. I paid for outside skirt steak and ChefStore delivered inside skirt, a much cheaper, tougher cut. When I brought it to their attention, they didn't help and didn't offer any money back. Charging premium prices for a budget cut and refusing to make it right is deceptive. Check your packages before you trust the label.

Such a great store. We have a new IMAX theater opening soon in Kingsport TN. I think this would be a wonderful location for you to service the East Tennessee area.
