Cub - Minneapolis Quarry

Writing this from my car in the parking lot after the worst customer service experience I’ve received in my life. A few days ago I had picked up my own prescription here and spoke with Jessica, pharmacy technician about picking up an Albuterol script they have on file for my husband soon. She said she would get this set to the side for him. Today, I arrived at Cub pharmacy at 6:20pm to pick up said Albuterol inhaler for my husband who is now out. If you’re not familiar, Albuterol is a rescue inhaler when his asthma flares and he’s struggling to breathe. I patiently stood in like for 12 minutes as we do at pharmacies and was helped by Sarah, blonde with glasses in a white coat, who told me “this was put back so long ago, I can get it filled but it won’t be ready until tomorrow.” They did not close for another 25+ minutes The inhaler is already prepackaged so I asked if she could do this tonight if I waited. She said no as they closed soon. Understandable, however the girl in front of me was told her prescription wasn’t filled either and that she could wait for 2 different pill prescriptions to be counted and prepared for her. This is absolutely unacceptable and her facial reactions, tone of voice, and truly the entire interaction was disappointing. Finally, after arguing from her and me pointing out that the woman ahead of me was allowed to wait, she said “fine.” I checked out with her at 6:55pm. She slid the bag past the glass at me aggressively which is hilarious because no one had to stay late and they were still open. They were able to print the label and put it on the already prepackaged box and now my husband will be able to breathe easier tonight. This wasn’t Tylenol or something OTC. This was a RESCUE BREATHING MEDICATION. Her attitude and disdain for patient care was disgusting. She should try working anywhere but with sick and vulnerable patients. Absolutely no compassion nor empathy. As a nurse who’s seen otherwise young and healthy people in the ER die from asthma complications, I won’t be back. Do better next time, Sarah. (See attached pictures for the Albuterol inhaler that was so hard to get filled 40 minutes before closing 😂)

This location is quite unique. I always enjoy this neighborhood and views you receive in this parking lot of downtown MPLS. The location serves so many communities and you can feel and diversity when you arrive. This Cub is a cornerstone in this community and offers a lot to it. The fresh items are superb, the square footage is great, you don't feel cramped. I'll say it's narrow at the start of the store and goes wide as you make it back to the establishment. Parking lot can jam up, depending on which entrance you use to park. Many popular brands share this parking lot so you could park centrally and do your shopping at all of them. I saw the grocery pick-up full, doesn't surprise me because this community is compact. I hope this location expands, grocery delivery...etc I think they could impact the community even more. Let me know what you think when you visit.

Grew up in the neighborhood... The location is more than ideal for Cub... Although the customer service is a C at most... What happy to employees helping you with your questions or just even pointing you in the right direction???? The only one that helped me was the janitor.... Thanks Mr. Janitor... The employees up front seemed to busy with the conversation the was having to even answer my question I had with checking out or the rewards program.... Have not been to Cub in year's. Tried to shop Cub again,,, I remember why I stopped.... Customer service to say the least... Cub is a thumbs down for me once again... No thanks Cub.... Way to rude for me.... I am in customer service and would never treat anyone in that manner....

The store used to be open 24 hours a day. I understand the decision to close at midnight. But I work second shift and often stop by after work around 11:30, only to find multiple aisles completely closed off because floor crews are already busy cleaning or waxing floors. I cannot complete my shopping when that happens. I’ve complained to managers before, but it continues to happen. If your store hours say you’re open till midnight, the store should be fully accessible until that time.
