Gerald Speckels a month agoEvery time I go into this Safeway nobody is standing behind the customer service counter and it's always closed that is very very very unprofessional and people are waiting in a long line to get a money order or something else and nobody helps them and most of the times customer service at this Safeway is closed you people at this Safeway need to do your JOB AND HELP YOUR customers they are supposed to be your first priority not your last priority, WAKE UP DO YOUR GUYS JOB BEHIND THE CUSTOMER service counter and help people out like seriously the next time I come into this Safeway and nobody is standing behind the customer service desk and if I ask someone to bring someone to the customer service desk and if I wait too long I'm going to make a complaint to this owner of this Safeway and I Will put this Safeway out of business from the way the reviews look like, this is a store not a place to hang out and take breaks and talk to your other coworkers this is a place of business like come on you guys get your stuff together at this Safeway like seriously before you guys get put out of business and the way the reviews look like for this place you probably guys will be out of business probably soon. I am very very very unhappy with this Safeway you guys need to do better than this and stop discriminating people that's just wrong and messed up treat everyone equal That's all I got to say about this Safeway you guys need to step up your game at this location. Good day.
Nova Wound a month agoThis location always feels stressful. I understand why security is needed, but between the security presence, the area, and people asking for money outside, it can be an uncomfortable shopping experience. Today I came during my lunch break for a Western Union pickup only to find the customer service desk closed. I was approached for money three times before I even made it to the door. The store itself is okay, but the overall experience is frustrating.
Cassandra 4 months agoLet me preface this by saying that I've never had this kind of issue with a grocery store before. Ever. I've also managed the front end (checkout and customer service) of a couple grocery stores, so I have nothing but empathy for my fellow retail folks. That being said, this place is beyond redemption. We moved to Five Points in late December. I had been using the pickup service at King Soopers for the past year and was excited to see that this Safeway offered the same service, but I kept on running into issues with my orders here. In four out of the seven pickup orders I’ve made at this location, I have had items missing, received someone else’s groceries on top of mine, gotten something completely different than what I ordered (bay leaves instead of basil was one), and even had the substitutions that I had declined on the app included with my order anyway. Which I guess I can’t really complain about—I wasn’t charged for them. If you prefer in-store shopping, I think there are about two or three pleasant cashiers in the whole store. The rest will either ignore you (if you’re lucky) or treat you with hostility. My first time in the store, the cashier did not look at me or respond to anything I said; he just barked instructions at me until I had paid for the order. Yesterday, another cashier accused me of trying to walk off without paying...until she realized that I had already tapped my card and she had forgotten to hit the button on her POS. Today was the final straw. I was getting ready to make beet-cured gravlax for a party I'm hosting on Sunday before I realized that I had left a bag of groceries behind during my trip yesterday, namely the beets. I called the service desk to find out if they had record of finding those items and what I needed to do to replace them, and they told me to bring in my receipt and talk to someone. I came in, put the missing items in my cart, explained the issue to the cashier, then showed her the receipt on my app. She glared—GLARED!—at me and asked: “How do I know you even left these behind?” Again, I was showing her the receipt for a pretty large grocery haul. I came back for two beets, a jar of pickles, salt, and a nice thank-you card—I don’t think it was more than $20 of extremely mundane items that I had proof of purchase for. This is also a pretty routine occurrence at any grocery store in my experience, so kind of I assumed she wasn’t familiar with the process and asked if she needed me to talk to a manager or anyone else who could approve this. She gave me an offended look and said, “I am the manager.” 😬 She weighed my produce bag and finally did let me leave with the items I needed, so at least it turned out alright. But being blatantly accused of petty beet-thievery cemented my worries that shopping at this store simply is not worth the ten minutes it would take me to drive to King Soopers, Trader Joe’s, or maybe even any other Safeway. I won't be shopping here again if I can avoid it. UnSafeway, I sincerely hope that you find your way. Until then, please keep in mind that treating all of your customers like pests or criminals is only going to drive away all of the customers who AREN'T pests or criminals.
Jayla Hutchings 2 months agoThe worst store ever. I was standing at Customer Service with 3 employees. The manager walked up and said I need to see you two now. The other employee was standing here on the computer and when she got done, she just walked away like I wasn’t even there. Didn’t say anything and even attempt to assist me. Ten minutes later, they came out still no acknowledgment, just conversation with themselves. One of the first people who went into the room, finally asked what I needed and took my money for a money order. Then I had to wait again, while the lady who was on the computer finished some report. Money orders should not take 20 mins or longer. I’m
Cassandra Beilsmith a year agoWow, no workers are actually cashiering and I have been in the customer service line for an hour and 15 minutes. That's a really long time for nothing out of the ordinary taking place. Just really slow incompetent workers everywhere. The worker in which I asked for the bathroom seemed WAY too happy to tell me where it was, but... "IT'S OUT OF ORDER"...??? Oh lord, the worst is the horrible attitude these workers have. Hopefully this is just a burn out from the Christmas season, but that just started, so I cannot really say.
