I had a very good shopping experience in the San Francisco store. It had everything I needed and more! I loved the layout of the market. They have a very good cheese selection and bakery. I tried the hot bar. Yes, you can eat there. The best part were the welcoming staff. Thank you Tito and Dina for attentive customer service. The store looks very good and clean! Kudos to the management.

***BUYER BEWARE: Overcharge on Items*** This place definitely overcharges (see screenshots below). I got the Joyride Candy which retails for $6.79. When I got ready to pay, I noticed the woman scanned the item and manually put the price of $10.29. I told her the price was $6.79, and she told me that was incorrect and that it’s actually what she put… after having a back and forth, I decided to pay because she wouldn’t change it. I went to where the candy was and saw the correct price of $6.79. Looking back, not sure why she overcharged me. Beware of this if you come to this location.

Very poor customer service here. I was overcharged for an item and when I brought it up, the cashier was like no it’s this price. I went back to the item in the store, took a picture of the price and told the cashier he can go check it out too. Instead of believing me, he had to go discuss with another cashier before adjusting it. Be careful because I’ve seen other people post the same thing happening to them of being overcharged. In the multiple times I’ve been here, the cashiers rarely offer to help bag groceries either. I would prefer self checkout over this.

This review is for their internal delivery service. We were excited to get their advert in the mail saying you could order and have delivered groceries directly from them. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. Many things were incorrect and unlike regular food delivery services there seems to be no way of contacting them easily to get things correct. Just some of the problems we had... I ordered 1lb of $10/lb ground beef (and selected a replacement of ~ equal price) but it got substituted for $40/lb ground wagu (yes $40/lb is NOT a typo) without any attempt to contact us. I got charged for a steak I did not order and did not even get. We ordered cut pineapple and cantaloupe (with a note saying if they were not in, just refund/get nothing), and we got mango and mixed fruit salad. Overall, a terrible experience. Definitely will not be shopping here again because of the experience. +1 star because it was fast without a lot of extra fees???

Being new to the area, Woodlands Market in SoMa is just down the street from us, so we stop in quite often. It’s a cool little neighborhood market that’s convenient and easy to pop into when you need something quickly. They have a wide variety of products for a store its size, which is definitely a plus. The prices are a bit high, but it works out when you’re in a crunch, need to grab something fast, or can’t make it to a larger grocery store with more competitive pricing. One of the highlights is the salad bar and sandwich counter—both are consistently great. They also have an impressive selection of beer, which makes it a convenient stop for last-minute needs or casual shopping. My experiences with staff have been mixed. The team in produce and the deli are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which really stands out in a positive way. They make the store feel warm and neighborhood-focused. On the other hand, interactions with cashiers and the person working in the pharmacy/health section haven’t always been great. Some staff members seem unwelcoming and could benefit from additional training around customer interaction. I’ve also noticed cashiers openly swearing while talking amongst themselves, which doesn’t feel very professional. Overall, Woodlands Market is convenient with some great offerings, but consistency in customer service would really improve the experience.
