The Downtown Milwaukee Metro Market is easily one of the most convenient grocery spots in the area. Having a full Starbucks inside is a big plus—great for grabbing a coffee before shopping or on your way to work. Their bakery and deli sections are consistently well-stocked, fresh, and clean. Lots of good options whether you’re picking up something for dinner or just want a quick snack. The real standout is the grab-and-go section. They keep a wide variety of meals and snacks ready to go, and it’s perfect for busy mornings or lunch breaks downtown. In the mornings, they offer a breakfast bar with pancakes, eggs, potatoes, and other hot items—which is a rare find in a grocery store and super convenient if you work or live nearby. Overall, it’s a well-run store with a great selection and layout. Easy to stop in, grab what you need, and be on your way. Would definitely recommend for everyday shopping or quick meals.

We were excited to find out Milwaukee had a public market, but if fell short of our expectations. We have been to so many markets across tha US and the world and Milwaukee's Metro Market didn't stand up. I think they could easily expand into a neighboring building however!

its clean and stocked most of the time. but theres rarely many registers open. and cashiers are so unfriendly it completely ruins your mood. prices arent exactly affordable. there's often random people loitering outside the front entrance. i only go to this store because its close by but the customer service makes me never want to return

I moved to Milwaukee in November 2025 and started shopping at Metro Market regularly. At that time, the store was clean, organized, and well-stocked with fresh produce, meat, and dairy products. Unfortunately, since December, I’ve noticed a significant decline. On multiple visits, the produce section has contained rotten fruits and vegetables, and there have been times when basic items like lettuce, mushrooms, and broccoli were completely out of stock. I’ve also found expired products on the shelves more than not. I understand that inventory challenges can happen, but these issues have become too frequent. Management needs to do a better job monitoring product freshness, removing expired items, and keeping essential grocery items in stock. I hope the store can return to the quality and standards it had when I first started shopping there.

I was upset when I came here the other day to get milk and realized that it was over three weeks old so I couldn’t buy any. You guys need to work on your expiration dates with you food 🤢. I saw this throughout the whole store with products they had on the shelves. I came in on Nov 17th. Unacceptable. Also your staffing is a joke. Little girls on their phones while working and clowning around. Who is your manager that is allowing most of the staff to be sitting on their social media while working like that? What a crappy look seriously. For the price people pay for groceries at least avoid keeping your expired food on the shelves. No one is trying to pay full price for that crap.
