Our recent visit to your establishment in downtown San Antonio proved to be an exceptionally gratifying experience. Its prime location offers unparalleled convenience for guests staying in the vicinity, such as those at the Embassy Suites, making it a pivotal destination for both essential provisions and distinctive offerings. Initially, our visit was for a practical need, but the comprehensive nature of your inventory quickly became apparent. We were particularly impressed by the quality of your specialty coffee selection. The white mocha latte, crafted with coffee sourced from Portland, OR, presented a distinguished flavor profile that was both smooth and profoundly satisfying. Beyond beverages, the culinary offerings were a true highlight. The Cuban sandwich was impeccably crafted, featuring sourdough bread and quality meats that created a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, making it one of the finest sandwiches we have encountered. Furthermore, the lemon sugar cookie provided a delightful sensory experience, characterized by its rich lemon essence, tender yet chewy consistency, and a subtly sweet, effervescent finish. The store also boasts a curated collection of unique products and thoughtful gifts, adding to its appeal. However, the most commendable aspect of our experience was undoubtedly the outstanding professionalism and genuine hospitality demonstrated by your associates. Their proactive engagement and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction were exemplary, transcending standard service expectations and truly elevating our visit. Such a high caliber of service is increasingly rare and significantly contributes to a positive brand image. We departed feeling thoroughly pleased with every aspect of our interaction and wholeheartedly anticipate returning in our next visit to San Antonio.

Stopped by here to grab coffee after lunch and also got to try a sample of the daily soup. It was very good! The atmosphere and service were friendly with both grocery and meal options offered, among more,in addition to coffee. Look forward to returning.

I was in San Antonio attending a work conference at the Convention Center. I always make a point to start my mornings at local coffee shops when out of town. Royal Blue Grocery is located in the Savoy building in downtown San Antonio. Founded in Austin, Royal Blue Grocery is a modern urban grocery whose offerings are responsive to the community it serves. It features Stumptown Coffee Roasters and East Side Pies in its coffee bar/deli and locally sourced, unique grocery, convenience, and gourmet grab-and-go products. Its hot sandwiches are freshly prepared, and the San Antonio store has an impressive wine selection. Royal Blue Grocery is not your typical bodega and has a cozy, inviting feel with plenty of natural light. Limited seating is available both inside and outside the store, but all seats are great for people-watching. Customer service is very solid and definitely more coffee shop-like than corner store. The coffee was great, and I plan to try their prepared items during my next trip to San Antonio.

One of my main priorities in life whenever I travel is to find the nearest convenience store (or Costco/Sam's Club) to stock up on massive amounts of water - it's just that important to me. Although, I seemed to have missed the mark in my recent trip to San Antonio because I didn't get water prior to checking into my hotel; therefore, I was delinquent and made it a high priority afterwards. My family and I stumbled across Royal Blue Grocery (RBG) after we finished our dinner down the road and I was shocked to see a quaint, yet cute/little store nestled in the middle of downtown. When we walked in, I quickly noticed a coffee bar which I wanted to try but couldn't because I was full from dinner. So instead, I just took the direct path to the refrigerator section and picked out several bottles of water. The girl working wasn't as friendly as some of the other employees I've encountered while visiting this city, but she was still efficient at her job. In fact, normally when you walk into a small store, it's typical that someone would greet you upon walking in, but that didn't occur here...or perhaps my expectations are too high these days. Oh well, definitely not a show-stopper. The store had a lot of items in there, although, I cannot validate if they will have what you're looking for. Fortunately for customers, there are other options down the road if RBG doesn't have what you need. This store also sells alcoholic beverages as well if you're shopping around for it - although, it's not a huge selection...it's something nonetheless. Overall, I recommend stopping here - they sold water so I was a happy camper.
