Historic Market Square

We found the Historic Market Square in San Antonio to be a wonderful spot to visit. The entire neighborhood was festive, with murals all over. The square is loaded with vintage buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. In the main building there are dozens of small shops with really nice staffs and good values. A great place to visit.

An absolute must-visit while in San Antonio. There are so many fun shops to visit and great food to eat here. Parking in the main parking lot is not free but totally worth it. We purchased churros which were made right in front of us and were amazzzing! There are both inside and outside sections open to browse through at your leisure. The atmosphere is very colorful, fun and lively!

The Historic Market Square is a nice place to visit. If you’re out of town or just a local. They have plenty of souvenirs, and one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. The decorations are bright and beautiful. There is plenty of parking near by. I recently took my family and everyone left with something. I definitely recommend this place as a to do on your list.

This is probably one of my favorite places in San Antonio and this visit was for Fiesta which we hadn't been to since Covid. They've expanded the area but now charge a fee to get in even though it's mostly the food and drink booths and a few other vendors. No more kiddie rides, at this location at least. The music was excellent and they were smart to put the main stage under the overpass since it was sprinkling on and off. We love gorditas but if I balked at $5 each in the past, we certainly weren't going to pay $12 for one now. Mi Tierra always saves the day.

Love this place… a must see. Lots of music and excellent food options. The people are amazing and so many lovely treasures to choose from!
