The friendly staff helped us find our items quickly, which was great since we were in a rush. I believe the manager or someone higher up noticed me taking pictures and came over to investigate. 😄 They also have delicious-looking sushi and some other Asian soft drinks that I’ll definitely buy next time we visit. The grocery store is clean and well-stocked, and there’s also a Starbucks inside, which is very convenient. Oh, and there’s plenty of parking because it’s located in a shopping center.

I am writing this because I find it odd and unsanitary that dogs are allowed in Store #355 in Houston, Texas. I understand the exception for service animals, but openly allowing all pets seems unhygienic and creates an uncomfortable experience, especially for customers who do not want dogs near their food. On multiple occasions, I have visited this store and asked management to at least prohibit dogs in the produce section, as it appears unsanitary. I have also taken photos during recent visits because I find it concerning that the manager stated the store’s policy is to allow dogs, despite it being a grocery store.

Do you love receiving out of date or day of expirations on food? Then this is the Kroger for you! Every. Single. Item. We pickup in the evening and receive things that expire that day… how is that reasonable? The people who shop the orders clearly have never had to buy groceries before. Unbelievable. Any issue takes over an hour to take care of. I’d love to know where to bill for my time!

Classic Kroger experience. It is amazing the amount of food they have stocked in the aisles consistently here. They have great deals on the app and with tons of their coupons. The store did not seem like a small Kroger, it had plenty of aisles and selection to choose from. No complaints for me and this is a solid option for your grocery needs.

This morning, I had one of the most humiliating and distressing experiences I’ve ever had at a grocery store, at Kroger. While I was calmly waiting in line at the in-store Starbucks, a white woman approached me aggressively and got directly in my personal space. I told her to get out of my face. I did not threaten her, touch her, or escalate the situation — I simply asserted my personal space. Instead of addressing the woman who initiated the confrontation, a white male employee who identified himself as “Tom” (who appeared to be management) immediately told me that I had to leave the store. He did not ask for my side of the story. He did not speak to the witness who saw the woman confront me. He assumed and acted on it without investigation. I was then refused service, and the police were called on me, despite the fact that I was the one who had been approached aggressively. As a customer, being dismissed, removed, and treated as if I were the aggressor — without being heard — felt like racial profiling. The decision-making process was one-sided and deeply concerning. No effort was made to de-escalate fairly or to gather facts. I am asking Kroger Corporate to review the security footage from this morning, speak to witnesses, and explain why I was denied the opportunity to share my side before such extreme action was taken. No customer should be made to feel targeted, unheard, and criminalized while simply waiting to be served.
