I think this is my favorite location in Houston! I got a bunch of stuff for my weekly meal prep plus company I had coming over for the weekend. Got myself some good chicken, steak, rice, vegetables and the works! It was so delicious and fresh and I would definitely come back again the more I visit in town 🥳

They had a special with 2 limit per customer. All the cuts/packs of meat look exactly the same. I asked to speak to a manager to let her know that it’s shady to put them in the same section. How many people probably took the packs without looking at the tiny print. The female manager was very rude stating to me that it’s the customer responsibility to read every detail on the yellow tag. Even though they’re the ones that put them all in the same section. That called false advertisement. The cashier was also rude at the end telling me a customer could have put a single pack in that section even after I told them that there are a bunch of the same packages in there in that section with the $7.99lb instead of the 5.77lb.

This is my neighborhood HEB. It’s hard to find parking on Sundays but they get 5 stars still because I can find everything I need here plus things I didn’t know I needed. The tortillas are always fresh and delicious. The produce always fresh. Checkout lines are always fast.

This store is always clean and well-stocked, and the customer service is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciate. However, I do have a concern regarding the “fresh” seafood. H-E-B advertises Gulf seafood as fresh, but after reading the package labels, it appears that some of the seafood is not actually from the Gulf. Additionally, some of the seafood displayed as fresh has been previously frozen and thawed. I believe clearer labeling and transparency would help customers make more informed choices.

I just had to share how fantastic Donna, the cashier at HEB in Buffalo Heights, is! She remembers me every time I visit, which always makes my day. Her cheerful demeanor and friendly smile create such a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a pleasure to be greeted by someone so dedicated and personable. Donna truly excels at her job!
