Jose Antonio a month agoConstruction is currently going on, but this store continues to be my favorite because everything is very convenient, and I can usually find what I’m looking for quickly. On June 3rd, at around 11:00 a.m., I decided to use the self-checkout. I accidentally left the first package of meat on the scale after scanning it while I was waiting for the plastic bags for the meats that are provided by HEB, which prevented me from scanning the second one. At that moment, Diana approached me with what I felt was a rude attitude, demanding to remove the meat from the scale without explaining why. Although I understand that she may have been trying to help or follow store procedures, the way the situation was handled made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. A simple explanation of what I needed to do would have been much more helpful and would have made the experience less stressful. I understand that self-checkout requires customers to follow certain steps, but not everyone has experience using the system. I believe that associates assigned to self-checkout should be professional, patient, and willing to explain the process to customers who may need assistance. Many people choose self-checkout because they want a quick and convenient shopping experience. I appreciate that the store gives young associates the opportunity to grow and develop professionally. However, I also believe they should receive the proper training and guidance before being placed in positions that require direct customer assistance. Just saying this but also Diana was given more attention to her coworker at the self checkout talking instead of being helpful to customers.
Al Ora 6 months agoGood selection of bakery, meats, and seafood items. Clean store and the shelves are practically fully stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate how easy it is to find items with proper posted signage and cleanliness. The checkout lines moved very fast. I was in a long line and a worker came up to me and open up a new line because of the overflow of customers checking out all at one time. It’s good to know that once they see the lines get too long they open up more registers to help with the amount of people waiting
FriedChicken 8 months agoSo basically this location is like an older Kroger with everyone bilingual (eng/esp). I heard about HEB being a great grocery in TX. Similar following as a Publix in Florida. But this is pretty average. Maybe other location looks better I don't know. There is also an arm guard patrolling the store. Nice. But what kind of problems they been having.
Firoz Ozman 2 months agoThis H-E-B on Ed Bluestein is a smaller, older store but it works fine for neighborhood shopping. The staff actually knows regulars and treats you like a person instead of just a number, which is nice. Fresh produce section is decent and they stock what you need. The pharmacy here is solid—they ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for supermarket pharmacies a few years running, and the pharmacists actually talk to you instead of just handing over pills. They have a gas station and drive-thru pharmacy if you're in a rush. It's not fancy and doesn't have all the specialty stuff you'd find at the bigger locations, but for everyday groceries it's reliable. Parking lot situation isn't great, but that's a Springdale Shopping Center problem, not just H-E-B's issue.
Hamid Hangval 2 months agoAwesome grocery store. They have meat, dairy, produce, frozen, and dry goods. They have public restrooms, amd water fountains. Nice cashiers. One thing i really like here is there strawberry cheese cake from there bakery. The one with red topping, and whip cream. I also like heb brand kettle bbq chips, sour cream, and onion chips,
