Myriah Hankins 3 weeks agoI want to commend Luckys vic village on making truly one of the most disappointing sandwiches I have ever eaten. I normally go to Clintonville but it was a matter of urgency and distance that drove me to mistakes I can’t unmake. It took literally 10 minutes for them to make one sandwich and I had to repeat myself a number of times on a sandwich that has only two toppings and two sauces. I take this baby home and there are stems (plural) from the banana peppers that aren’t even attached to a pepper, just bonus fiber I guess? Somehow there is too much and too little mayo. It’s dripping off the middle of the sandwich and both ends are bone dry. And they didn’t manage to toast the sandwich, it’s pale, sad, and soggy. Genuinely not sure if it’s salvageable. My roommate bought his for a road trip and left it at home it’s so inedible. Partially related but seriously are your COGS so bad you can’t offer bell pepper and cuke to a sandwich? Edit: changing from 3 stars to 1 because I just realized there are maybe 10 strands of lettuce. How?…
Nicole Quinn a month agoI’ve been here twice. Food is phenomenal and a lot of small businesses choices. However prices are abysmally high for items you can get elsewhere, staff is NOT FRIENDLY. I asked a lady scanning yogurts if I could squeeze in and she didn’t say a word and seemed super annoyed that I dare ask her to stop what she’s doing. I said thank you, and again no words and an annoyed look. It was strange.
Livia Sponsler 4 months agoSmoked salmon at the deli is absolutely incredible. The guy working behind the counter let me try a sample. As a picky eater, this was very much appreciated since buying new foods can be daunting. And I loved it!! Very friendly workers, always a pleasant experience!
rachel robertson 8 months agoLucky’s Market is a great accessibility friendly grocery store. Looking outside, there are multiple reserved parking spaces for those who need it, and there are no curbs from the parking lot to the front door- which is automatic. The lighting is not bright nor dim, so it works great for those with light sensitivity and also those who need well lit rooms. Each aisle is decently wide, and there are friendly workers around almost every corner happy to assist you if you need. If you are sensitive to smells, the only area you may want to avoid is the grab and go section as they are making sandwiches, sushi, and other meals throughout the day. There is only one restroom and the door has a handle you have to push down then push to open, but the restroom is roomy. The noise levels are decently low throughout the week, with no constant music or announcements over the speakers (except for the awesome DJ on weekends!). I am always satisfied with my visits here.
Alex 4 months agoReally great produce, lots of variety, unique items (whole artichoke, tumeric, every fresh herb) Great bulk selection, but more premium prices. Their normal meat selection is very very small. Their meat counter is nice, everything looks good but, again higher prices than big box grocery. Very extensive suppliment and vitamin section similar to fresh thyme. Not a lot of frozen foods- which makes sense, but what they do have is pricey. Overall I would go for produce, some grains, dried fruits and nuts and they have a nice organic dairy selection. Definitely not for an everyday shopper unless you have an income that allows you to spend extra on grocery.
