W D 6 months agoWe put in our Christmas dinner order in person on Sunday night. The male employee who worked that night didn't put in our order when we went to pick it up christmas eve. So, because of the employee's error, we didn't have dinner. We were able to reorder the meal for today, Friday. The chicken wing tray was not cooked all the way and the salad looked terrible with soggy and burnt croutons. The only thing that was good was the honey bbq sauce, Caesar's salad dressing, and the dinner Rolls. I'm very disappointed with how we were treated and the amount of money we spent on poor quality meals. This was supposed to feed my family not make them sick. How am I supposed to trust a stranger to safely cook these meals ?? I'm not coming back. Next time, I'll just cook the meals myself. So much for trusting someone else's cooking skills. 😒. The only reason I'm giving two stars because the other employees were able to put our order in and understood the situation. Otherwise, this would've been a zero, if allowed.
Ciera Rankin 3 weeks agoI have mixed feelings writing this because parts of my experience were lovely, but the management completely ruined it. I’ve lived in Raleigh for 14 years, and while I've enjoyed a few things from The Fresh Market before, I had never tried their bakery items. When I saw them on the Too Good To Go app, I decided it was the perfect excuse to run out and try it. My first two interactions were fantastic—the lovely elderly woman in the bakery and the sweet cashier checking me out were absolutely amazing and treated me with genuine kindness. However, the front-end manager (I believe her name was Tip or Tiff) completely ruined the experience. Her demeanor was an absolute deterrent. In an interaction that lasted less than three minutes, she hounded the cashier, repeating four or five times: *"Make sure you watch her scan it on the app."* The first time she said it, I thought nothing of it—just standard store process. But repeating it aggressively that many times while I, a Black customer, am just standing there rubbed me entirely the wrong way. To make matters worse, I had also picked up a granola bar to purchase. The manager came over *again*, hounding the girl: *"What are you doing? I have to make sure. Did you actually see her scan it?"* I felt incredibly sorry for the poor cashier, and frankly, I felt targeted. It is deeply frustrating to still deal with people acting like I don't belong in spaces where I absolutely do—and it's even more disheartening when that energy comes from another minority. If I had known I'd be treated with that level of baseline suspicion, I wouldn't have even spent money on the granola bar. That manager's behavior completely turned me away from ever spending my money at this store again. I truly hope this is a lesson for her in how she treats people. To the sweet cashier and the wonderful woman in the bakery, thank you for being decent human beings—I hope you both have an amazing day.
Harrison Esterley 4 months agoGreat groceries and selection. Really unfortunate though that the bistro meal options are displayed and kept with a Thai peanut salad. For people with a peanut allergy, this basically makes eating here impossible. The employees (who are nice and helpful) let me know how most other items are peanut free, so why ruin that by placing the Thai salad in with the lot? There are literally stray peanuts in the adjacent food options. :(
Sherri Henderson a month agoLove their little big meals for 4! We are empty nesters and love the price of $25 for 2 full meals and the food is great. I would like a little more variety with the entrees.
David Edwards a month agoI love the prepared meals that you can pick up from the Fresh Market. I am on their email list and get notices of what is available from week to week. They have a nice variety and everything I have tried has been most enjoyable.
