Very cool “boutique” market with surprisingly reasonable prices. Selection is limited but they have many brands and items that I haven’t seen before. Upstairs is beer and wine with a cool glass overlook to market below. Outstanding olive bar, deli and bakery. We got a fresh baked pepperoni pizza with Mikes hot honey on top. It was really delicious.

Beautiful market, I absolutely love shopping here! The atmosphere is esthetically pretty, a large selection of delicious candy and pastries 🍰 the staff seem very energetic and always smiling. It genuinely makes your experience here enjoyable.

We really like shopping at The Fresh market. The location on Saint Charles is very convenient to the bus and streetcar lines, making it easy to reach from all over. They have a nice selection of fruits, vegetables, prepared foods and wines. The people are friendly and they have a great many choices. They also have a small bakery, flower shop and feature both indoor and outdoor seating.

Great store. Love the selection of chocolates, good fruit and vegetables, nice bakery section. Also good selection of Kombucha and the best selection of tinned fish I've seen in New Orleans. The store is beautiful inside and staff are friendly.

During Mardi Gras during I was being harassed by a man on the sidewalk while I was on the steps of the fresh market(being a frequent and recurring customer who did my writing at the tables). After being cursed out for four hours I threw one single mochi ice cream that I purchased in the store on top of several other items throughout the parade. Nopd got involved and an employee(curly hair/woman/a bunch of metal in her face) claimed I was “criminally trespassing” despite buying over $100 in groceries that the police ended up confiscating AFTER bashing my head into the wall while I was trying to reason with the employee and explain what happened and that I was being harassed. The next night I got permission from Eric the GM to purchase groceries and be on the steps as a customer. She was in the store off the clock in booty shorts and tried to start an argument with me for the second time. I reported this to headquarters but never got a response. I am now escalating this to a local attorney as a civil rights case. Not only did they allow police brutality to happen at the store, I am also on the autism spectrum with ADHD and the way they handled this incident was absolutely discriminatory in that respect. For the record, this happened after I was complying with the first request to leave and I was getting my stuff together on the table in my bag. My charges were also dropped a few weeks ago as I was given court summons before I was transported to oschner Baptist for a head CT. I have been having recurring headaches that I need to see a neurologist about since this incident.
