This Rouses is one of the older ones but a staple to Uptown New Orleans. This store may be lacking in its variety of hot food, however, grocery wise, it's very well stocked with a diverse variety too .. basically the opposite of the Freret St. store close by which has a smaller grocery selection but great hot ready store made food. It also shares it's lot with Tippitinas, NOLAs famous music club, so, if your a boozer, get y'all's booze here first and save some dough for hangover preventative and hangover craven snacks.

Nothing is ever on sale. No loyalty program. EXPENSIVE. Produce is not fresh and spoils quickly. Salad bar is never restocked when things run out and lettuce is always limp and brown. LINES ARE ALWAYS LONG AND SLOW. Why do I have to wait 15-20 minutes to pay at noon on a Wednesday? I wish Rouses was leaving Louisiana and Winn Dixie would stay!

A nice selection of goods, deli, prepared foods, party supplies and good catering. Good bakery, French bread and scones yummy. All employees are cordial and helpful and nice. Thank y'all
