So visiting from out of town I looked everywhere for cold beer but only found one small refrigerated cooler of non-alcoholic beer and plenty of warm beer. I asked store employees why there was no cold beer but no one knew the answer. Here is the answer why… The lack of cold beer on the shelves at the downtown Indianapolis Whole Foods (located in Market Square) is due to Indiana's unique state alcohol laws. Under Indiana state law, grocery stores, convenience stores, and pharmacies are strictly prohibited from selling refrigerated or chilled beer. Any beer sold for carry-out at these businesses must be sold at room temperature. By contrast, Indiana law grants a near-monopoly on the sale of cold beer for carry-out to dedicated package liquor stores. The legal distinction has been challenged in federal court by grocery and convenience store associations, but courts have repeatedly upheld the law, ruling that the state has a rational basis for regulating where immediately consumable (chilled) alcohol can be purchased.

I had an outstanding experience at Whole Foods Market and can confidently say it’s one of the best grocery stores I’ve shopped at. A bit pricey, but great customer service and an easy one-stop place for Amazon returns. But reinvested in their employees. From the moment you walk in, everything feels clean, organized, and thoughtfully designed. The produce section is always fresh and vibrant, and you can tell there’s a real commitment to quality. Whether I’m picking up everyday essentials or looking for something more specific, they consistently have exactly what I need. What really makes the difference, though, is the customer service. The staff is genuinely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. It doesn’t feel rushed or transactional; it feels personal. I also really appreciate the variety of healthy, organic, and ready-to-eat options. The hot bar and prepared foods make it easy to grab something quick without sacrificing quality. Overall, it’s a place I actually enjoy going to, not just another stop on my to-do list. Five stars all the way, highly recommend!

it's a whole foods. feels pretty typical. been in a few times and never disappointed by the quality. I enjoy their olive bar and fresh bread selection. parking can be difficult if you have bigger vehicle and want to use the garage.

I usually enjoy grabbing lunch from Whole Foods, and the raspberry scone is fairly priced. However, I found chunks of broccoli inside the raspberry scone ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ. (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) 🥦🥦🥦🍪 I’ve also noticed that the hot food section can sometimes be dry ಠ⁠︵⁠ಠ, though it seems to be improving little by little... I’m hopeful the quality and consistency will continue to get even better, as this is a great spot for lunch! Food quality: C. location:A+. Vibes: A++

I went to this store looking for raw peanuts and hemp milk, I was very disappointed when I couldn't find any in the milk section at Isle #11. I don't know if they were out of stock or they just don't carry this item. They have a great variety of coconut milk though which is very good. I do like the store setting and restaurant style.
