I placed an order to another Safeway using an online coupon, They canceled it and could not redeem the coupon for the same order at another store. Customer service went out of their way to help me purchase the items in store and applied the discount as well. Very satisfied with this store.

What is up with the deli staff actively ignoring customers — and then when they finally do decide to provide some service, do it completely out of order? Love this store — can’t stand the service in this section — the deli workers seem to detest human interaction. I really want to stay polite, and I have. But when you’re standing at the counter for nearly 15 minutes with only one person in front of you (but lots of employees passing by and avoiding eye contact) it’s hard not to take it personally.

Kudos to Wilma who served me at the Starbucks located in Beretania Safeway. She willingly greeted me when I had a question about the Friday all day $6 special. Her smile and excellent customer service was enough to order a Gr Pistachio cream cold brew and a banana pastry. Because of Wilma I would likely frequent this Starbucks again. Thank you Wilma for your kindness today, Friday, January 16, 2026.

Went through self check-out this morning and after scanning four of the same items I noticed that the sale price was $1 over the published sale price. Called the employee over and showed her that the item was $1 over the sale price on the ad. She had the ad and said I needed to scan the ad. I told her I did scan the ad into the app. Then she said the item is not on the ad. I told her it is because on the shelf it said the item was $6.99 and not $7.99. Then she told another worker in a disgusted manner that she had to go do a price check. She came back after some time and then just grabbed the item and took $1.00 off each item. She acted like I put her out. Obviously, customer services is not her thing. I don't need to treated like a nuisance when the nuisance was her for not knowing how to do her job and to provide customer service. My receipt says it finally rang up at 9:47 a.m.
