I’m currently shopping at the Kroger on Howell Mill and I’m extremely disappointed with the checkout situation. Lines are backed up down the aisles, yet there is only one cashier working and just two self-checkout areas open. Meanwhile, nine checkout lanes remain closed. Employees said this is due to not having enough workers, but with a snowstorm coming and an obvious influx of shoppers, this feels like poor planning. This has been a major inconvenience not just for me, but for everyone in the store. I expect better staffing and preparation, especially during high-traffic situations like this. This experience makes me reconsider shopping at this location.

I have visited this location once too many times. Always nice, staffs are very professional, and they always fresh fruits and sushi

Huge store with an amazing amount of merchandise. I have found 12-packs of Cokes for $5.99. The time I even bought one of their generic cold pills and so far, so good. They always seem to have what I am looking for. Plenty of parking. No complaints

I had a very disappointing experience with Kroger’s store pickup service. I waited two hours for an order that the app marked as “ready,” but it had not even been prepared. While I was waiting, a staff member mentioned he was calling customers to cancel orders and even asked if I wanted to cancel mine. He also shared that he was supposed to close the department due to a lack of workers. Although he initially told me my order would take about 30 minutes to complete, it actually took over an hour. I understand that delays can happen, but opening and operating a pickup department without adequate staffing is unacceptable. The purpose of store pickup is convenience—customers should be able to place an order, pick it up efficiently, and go. Waiting two hours defeats that purpose entirely. There clearly needs to be improvements made to the process to ensure better communication and preparation for customers.

I ordered pick up delivery and was at my spot for over an hour and a half before receiving my groceries! I dont like rushing employees because I can imagine they are already going through enough stress, but after an hour I finally asked for an ETA and couldnt be answered! I dont mind if the pick up time gets delayed I just wish the app was updated to tell you when the order is actually ready instead of the selected pick up time because this situation led to an overfill of the 8 spots slotted for pick up!
