My hubby and I went for our regular fruits and veggies. We were not disappointed. We went to Cortez produce and was assisted by Dominga. She taught me about how to view a fruit, observe, smell and even ask for a taste to sample the product 😂. She taught me that the brighter the color the fruit - the sweeter. Omg she was not wrong. Each fruit was exactly how she stated. Normally we try our best to visit as many vendors to support each of them. But today we were arrested by Dominga 😂🤣 and were not disappointed. So to say we will keep visiting the market - that’s a resounding YES. Will we visit others to price match, look at the produce and support - maybe not 😂. OK to be honest yes we’ll still support others but Cortez Produce has us as regulars - starting today! Oh by the way, the cost is very reasonable. What we realized actually before going to Cortez was that everyone had similar cost & produce but customer service was an important factor for us. Upon getting to the stand we were immediately greeted by Dominga and that’s what changed the course of our shopping experience. Warm smiles, being cordial, priced right, fresh produce sealed the deal. So if these are deciding factors for you also; then DO stop by Cortez Produce and I’m certain you will not be disappointed. Tell Dominga or Lillian (owner) that Viv (Jamaican) sent you 🤗

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had such a fantastic experience at the Atlanta State Farmers Market in Jonesboro, and I can confidently say it deserves a full five stars. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with vendors and staff creating a warm community feel that made shopping enjoyable. I came specifically to buy red peppers, and I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the produce. The pricing was excellent, offering great value without compromising on quality. It’s rare to find a place that balances affordability with such a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The service was outstanding. Everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly, and eager to help. They didn’t just answer my questions — they took the time to introduce me to some cool fruit options I hadn’t tried before, which made the visit feel more like an adventure than just a shopping trip. The location itself is convenient and easy to access, with plenty of space to explore and shop comfortably. Parking was simple, and the market layout made it easy to find what I needed quickly while still enjoying the browsing experience. Overall, the Atlanta State Farmers Market in Jonesboro is a gem. Excellent service, fair pricing, and a great location all combine to create a five‑star experience. I’ll definitely be returning, not just for red peppers, but to explore more of the unique fruit options and enjoy the friendly atmosphere again. Highly recommended!

Huge selection of conventional produce and even fresh flowers! There are tons of vendors to check out here. Everyone friendly and willing to help Just a heads up if you are looking for organic items—I wasn't able to find any vendors selling organic produce during my visit, but it's a great spot if you need a large variety of standard staples

The one star is not for the farmer's market. It's for one of their vendors, VARELA PRODUCE. I was there last Sunday to purchase a seeded watermelon. She told me the ones with the sticker were seeded but AFTER I zelled her my money she and the gentleman told me that they were not seeded but yellow meat. Ok, I haven't had a yellow one in a few years... I'll take it along with a papaya and a sugar cane. Not only was the watermelon NOT yellow, it was extremely soft and visibility old and rotten and so was the papaya. I had to throw them both in the garbage. So I pretty much GAVE her $20.00. The most horrible manipulative experience I've ever had. I will continue to shop at the farmer's market but never at this vendor's stand again.

We love coming here for our fresh fruits and vegetables. There are a lot of vendors and some with an indoor area. I have a specific vendor I go to and we always get fresh, quality food.
