Shalini Camillus 4 months agoI have visited this place about four times since 2025 and did not review it on the first day because I wanted to learn more about the place. This place is great for the neighborhood and offers wide variety of fresh produce that may not available in other markets in Jacksonville. They have a station for honey, lemonade, cake and pudding. Also there is a plant nersary and a seafood market which I couldn't visit yet. Someone had reviewed seen flies but I must say I never saw flies. The only reason I gave four stars is because they do not display the prices at all, calculate and add in their minds, and do not produce a detailed receipt of item price, number of items or the price per pound. There is an inconvenience of carrying the items to the car if you purchase more items. I hope to take my own cart next time but I don't think there is enough room there. Overall, I really enjoy this place for special items such as Kurumba (young green coconut),whole coconut 🥥 , soursop (Katu Aaththa/Anoda) and green avocados . They are in great quality although soursop is smaller in size. Also you can get a tray of 30 eggs for $10. This market has a great potential to increase customers if pricing is displayed and if they produce a transparent receipt physical or digital.
Marian Anghel a month agoOverall this is a good fresh market. They have all kinds of vegetables and you can buy them in bulk cheaper. The whole place can definitely be cleaner- I’m not sure if the city should take care of that. The sidewalks and parking lots are kind of narrow, the streets have potholes here and there etc
Anita Stephens 2 years agoVisited the market today. We had not been to Jacksonville Farmers Market in years. We got there really early, so we were able to move around pretty easily. I love all of the different fruit and vegetables choices. The prices are why you should visit. Much lower than at the supermarket. We picked up some green peppers, onions, oranges, lemons and ginger. The lady that sells the honey was not there yet. There is a fish market and an area where they sell plants. There are restrooms available. On site there is an air conditioned restaurant. The menu looked good. I would recommend going on a weekday if you’re able. The weekends are crowded, and parking can be limited.
Melissa Stratford 2 years agoBeen coming here for a long time! Great place for little ones to look at fruit and help you pick it out:) Went this past Sunday to the market. Wasn’t very crowded at all. There is a very sweet gentleman in the very back of the market that has some of THE BEST collard greens and sweet potatoes you will ever eat! He cuts & bags greens which is awesome! And definitely go see Dave & his wife in the front side of the market for some of the coolest species of plants & AMAZINGLY delicious juices in his “chill bar.” And only $3 bucks!!! How can you beat that!🍓🍊🍉 oh yes! And don’t forget the cake lady in the front. Her slices of cake are heavenly! The Key Lime & Walnut black velvet are worth every calorie! lol! And if you’re indecisive… she gives free samples.😋yum! Enjoy:))
Chrisy Wierima 7 months agoThe amount of produce is unbelievable!!!! The prices have been great! There is a beautiful flower store hidden to the right when you walk through the entrance. Speaking of the entrance DO NOT PASS UP on the banana pudding!! Those ladies know what they are doing!!!! If this helps anyone, I see signs that the take food assistant payments - for the produce.
