This location is horrible. It is making me reconsider going giant at all. My regular location is in the suburbs and I have had no issues, but I don’t know if I will continue to support Giant. At this location a few of the staff were kind, but several were extremely rude to people as I was entering and shopping as well as to myself. The store was extremely busy but there was not enough staff— this seems to be a consistent issue across Giant locations but it seemed particularly bad here. The security guards are especially hateful. I don’t understand the bag policy at this location, if the location was properly staffed, they would not need this policy. I don’t know of anywhere else that has this, even in the city. It is odd and feels very discriminatory. They seem to expect that every person entering is already aware of this policy and were immediately rude. They treat everyone who has any bag at all like a criminal. Even if someone’s backpack was small and clearly did not exceed the listed capacities (which is on an extremely hidden and small-ish sign. Who would know to look for this if they didn’t know?), they were stopping them. They were also checking receipts on the way out, but only certain people’s. This caused a bottleneck coming out of the store after an already long wait to check out. Seems like you should only need one policy or the other— or at the very least need a more appropriate, safe, and friendly way of enforcing it. What are they going to ask next? That we take off our shoes and go through the metal detector like we are at an airport? Seems foolish. The stocking at this location was also very bad. The meat section was a bit unsanitary, with raw chicken juice covering the packages and leaking out. And don’t get me started on the shelf that has discounted produce, all moldy and wrapped together in plastic wrap. Ew.

Fine grocery store usually but lately we've noticed several instances of spoiled food on the shelves. Twice this month we've seen spoiled inflated packs of vacuum-packed meat and once accidentally purchased a bad steak (the best buy date indicated it should be good). Went today, the cantaloupe we bought (with a best buy date of 12/2) was fermenting and sour. Get it together!

Tagged my bag when I went in which is fine. Then as I was leaving out the security asked me to open my backpack which was strange never been asked that before but I complied. Then she asked for my receipt. I asked why she said store policy. I noticed when I went into the store she didn't ask any other customers. Seems like racial targeting. Ask why she only asking me and no one else said the same thing store policy. Looked up the information on corporate website and there is no need for them to ask a receipt from customers. Moving forward I will no longer offer my receipt if asked and suggest others do the same. It is not Mandatory to give receipt or open bag once you leave! There is a reason why there are security cameras in store. I feel I was singled out for no reason just based on skin color which is wrong. If you are going to enforce this policy do so for EVERYONE!!! To others who shop here you don't have to give receipt or open your bag as you are exiting the store! It is not a mandate!

Bad man service on the food area! I was shopping for the first time today May/17/2026 around 1pm, and I took the my food and then a man who was working there he star to yelling, and he was locking so stressful and very angry, so my complaint is that person have to recuve a call attention to be more respectful cause I heard he was like using a terrible language words against me. So that was my first time supporting hot bar food but I think I’ll not buy agin.

Today I was in The store getting some bacon and this lady said the Rudest thing to this young man who worked for the store. I can tell he was locked into filling his order(s) and was oblivious to her trying to get through the tight isle. She forced her way through saying nasty things. I could tell she’d startled him…. Later as I as headed to check out I watched her hit the roof again when he said to her as she walked by, “I apologize, I didn’t see you! You would have thought he said something about her in a Derogatory fashion, but I’m glad I heard it. Good job training your safe to apologize and be professional. I’ll continue to spend my money there. Shout out to Mr. Wanda in Self Service.
