I had a great experience here. The Spanish market is laid back with friendly employees. Their selection is basic but decent, especially if you’re looking for Hispanic foods. The hot deli is was a great experience. I like Mexican and a woman, Maria, was extremely warm and kind. She greeted me with a smile, gave me double sauces and made a delicious burrito. She handled the checkout with the positive energy. The food was very well priced and the burrito tasty. Since the customer service was excellent, I highly recommend checking it out and bringing your family or coming in for yourself. 😀👍

The manager in charge today, 12/23, working in the afternoon, was so rude and unprofessional. She said a discount was unable to be done because there were no more coupons, when there was a WHOLE stock of them, but she made such a huge deal out of it. It was the worst customer service, especially coming from the girl manager. Shout out to the lady working on the self service registers, she was trying to help out but the manager ADAMARI B was just so rude, and unprofessional, do better girl.

The cashiers on duty today, 12/23 in the afternoon, were so unhelpful and rude for no reason. They had a discount given to customers after spending $40, yet they did not validate it. Like, why have a said offer and then completely ignore it and put excuses? If you are untrained, just say that. It was just so rude and unprofessional overall.

My preferred go-to for quick shopping needs. Today, I grabbed essentials for the upcoming week – accidentally opting for a case of water instead of a gallon. The rotisserie chicken, a personal favorite, impresses with its ideal temperature and tender texture. The variety extends to vegetables, fruits, spices, red meats like pork and beef, and options for white meat with fish and chicken. Pastries and bread are also on offer. The aisle is consistently clean, with well-organized and stocked shelves. Checkout is a breeze, thanks to numerous self-checkout counters. Ample parking space and a well-maintained deli, where ready-to-eat food can be ordered, further enhance the overall shopping experience.

I visit this store once or twice a month and drive from Santa Clara because there are no large Hispanic grocery stores in my area. As a Hispanic customer, I always try to support businesses within my community. Unfortunately, each visit has become more frustrating due to the consistent poor customer service, and it makes me feel that Cardenas does not truly care about its clients. The employees, especially in the meat department and at the registers, are often very rude. There is little to no courtesy—no greetings or thank-yous—and when customers ask for help, the response is frequently eye-rolling or an annoyed attitude. In the meat department, employees often talk among themselves while customers are waiting, ask what you need, turn away to continue their conversation, and then ask again as if they weren’t listening the first time. This behavior makes customers feel ignored and unwelcome. I have been shopping at this store for years, and instead of improving, the customer service seems to be getting worse. I don’t expect special treatment—only basic respect and professionalism—especially considering that many customers go out of their way to shop here in order to support a Hispanic-owned business. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works toward improving staff training and customer service.
