Jimena Meza 6 months agoUsually I have a decent experience, find what I need and check out fine. Although the cashiers tend to not interact with customers and feel like their job is beneath them. Today I had a very unpleasant experience. Cashier lane 1 asked if I needed a bag and I said yeah. I tend to speak low so she might have not heard me. But as she was checking me out she did not give me a bag so I kindly reminded her and apologized for not speaking loud enough (this was after checkout as I was confused why she did not give me a bag). She refused to look me in the eye, speak to me, and appeared angry. I can understand how this situation is frustrating for both people but working with the public is a skill that she definitely does not have. It was a simple misunderstanding and instead of asking me to repeat myself, she ignores the customer. It’s a 10 cent bag, I don’t mind paying it, and it definitely does not come out of her paycheck, and I don’t mind bagging my things, so the attitude is unnecessary. Again working with the public is a skill that she definitely does not acquire (as I have been working in retail for years, and sometimes I do get upset but I do not ignore a customer for a simple mistake). Probably nothing will be done about her behavior but if you are going just know these cashiers will not treat you nice. Work is work and although we should not give our life away to it, we should definitely not put our anger/misery on other people.
Cherilyn Jones 3 years agoExcellent selections!! Super helpful staff. My friend asked if they had any new shipment in for oatmilk and the gentleman happily obliged to check and when there wasn’t any he asked her what kind and he’d see if he could order it!! We got lots of healthy treasures and goodies! Store is clean, organized, and well-kept. They even had Vermont maple syrup!!!
Chanae Young (Frenchie) 5 months agoYour cashier, #185 Elizabeth, was extremely disrespectful during my visit. When I approached the register, she did not say good morning or acknowledge me in any way. She immediately began ringing up my items without any greeting or communication. When it was time to pay, I realized I had left my debit card in my car, which was parked directly in front. I quickly went to retrieve it. When I returned, she had already moved my items aside and started ringing up another customer without informing me of what was happening. I was standing right there and received no explanation or acknowledgment. She was engaging and speaking with the other customer in Spanish, but when it was my turn again, her attitude completely changed. She became cold and rude toward me. I even tried to remain polite by saying good morning and wishing her a good day. When I asked about a bag, she responded with attitude, saying, “You told me you didn’t want one,” which was not true. Everyone has bad days, but that does not excuse treating customers poorly. The way I was treated was unprofessional and disappointing. If someone does not want to work in customer service, they should consider another position. Customers deserve basic respect and courtesy. Other than that!!!! The associate putting up the home decoration SHE IS really great!!! Thank you so much finding the price on that rug.
G B-S 5 months agoMy favorite part is they carry vegan choices in the freezer section. Many choices from brand names and more all over their store. There is a great array of snacks, staples, wine, beer, and even some home goods. They carry almost anything from baking wear, kitchen utensils, seasonal decorations, pet items, and plants. People are pretty helpful and the store is clean.
Christa 6 months agoThe woman at the checkout told me the food they purchase here is just like any other grocery store and they don’t have items that are about to expire—which are typically sold at a discount rate. That’s funny because half the items I bought were about to expire in less than 10 days. Maybe the employees need more education about the company since most or all products from this store are rejected by other retailers because of their expiration date so they are able to be sold at a cheaper price here. They have raised their cheaper prices…. Check all the dates!!!!
