I had the worse experience at Wholefoods yesterday. I went to the salad bar and the selection of vegetables was bare. No tomatoes, old dry cheese, half fill vegetables. The olives looked very dark and days old. I went to deli area asking for fresh cheese. The guy behind the counter said cheese is cheese. All cheese look dry and white in the ends. I said well, call your store Manager to help me get fresh cheese for my salad. He walk over very angry and pulled out fresh yellow well refrigerated cheese. He sat the cheese box on the counter and he said what do you want me to do with this. I said give me the fresh cheese. He said, I don’t know what you want. I said get fresh cheese. I felt so humiliated and felt like less valued as a customer. The quality of Whole Foods salad bar in Speedway is trash….

I can say without hesitation that this is the most cramped grocery store I have ever been inside. Of course this isnt a normal sized Whole Foods, it's smaller. Yet they still try to cram as much as they can within this small footprint without a thought for the customer experience. At every turn you are in some sort of traffic jam with another customer and their cart. Secondly, and I should have known better before coming inside a Whole Foods, the prices are just stupid. $8 for a bag of tortilla chips? LOL I dont think so. Sure you can get slightly less expensive groceries with a Prime Card (of course that is $139 annually) so you dont have to pay the 20% Bezos tax for his new yacht, but why am I having to do this in seemingly every place I shop? It's absolutely ridiculous. Why is buying a decently priced bag of chips an impossible task in 2026 American society?

Great place to go for lunch (delicious fresh made pizza and more)! We went as a family and enjoyed the variety of gluten free food for my daughter. The staff were so helpful and happy!

I went in to grab some quick dinner from the hot bar on Saturday, 11/8. I got the rice, tikka masala, samosa, sesame chicken, and a bit of the salmon. I did get a lot of rice, total weight came out to a little over 2lbs for $28, so a bit overpriced. The rice tasted undercooked and masala was a bit bland. Samosas and sesame chicken were alright, better off getting Panda Express though. However, the reason I am writing this review is because of the salmon. I think deep down I knew it was a bad idea to get cooked salmon in an open hot bar at a supermarket, but I took the chance. It was a bit dried out and the skin was super soft, the fish flavor was a bit stronger than usual as well but I put it down the hatch. A few hours later towards midnight I wake up to some nausea and I realize something’s up. I go to the restroom and end up vomiting whatever was my dinner. Personally, after everything I ate, I blame the fish. Never again, especially at that price, I paid a high price twice for that meal.

A couple days ago I had a very unpleasant experience at the Whole Foods on Speedway. I went in to get a fresh squeezed juice. There was no one there and I asked a young woman in the bakery if there was any one that could make one for me? NO, came the answer. No smile, no suggestion as to another course of action, and even a hint of hostility. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that there was no manager in the store, Hmmm, something didn’t seem right. I went over to two people standing by the entrance and told them what happened. They paged the woman who makes the juices and she came right over. This is right after the woman in the bakery told me that she’s not in the store!. So I thought my problems were over. I get juices at the juice bar on a pretty regular basis and I ordered my juice basic, go to pay for it and it’s several dollars more than the usual price. So I go back and ask about it and she says oh you asked for spinach and that’s an extra charge. Wouldn’t she expect if there is an up charge to be told about it? Whoever is in charge of training and motivating the people in that department back there really needs to step up their game! To be fair the other people that were helping me out we’re friendly and helpful to a point, although nobody seemed overly concerned about the poor customer service I had received. Even though the store is right by my house, I will happily drive to Sprouts from now on. They have cheaper prices, and much friendlier people! I’ll make my own juices at home :-)
