This location has a genuinely odd atmosphere. Management feels absent, security feels dismissive, and basic interactions often come across as cold or defensive. It's hard to put a finger on, but there seems to be an underlying culture here that lacks hospitality and customer care. I left with the impression that helping people is treated as an inconvenience rather than part of the job. Not a welcoming experience.

My shopping experiences at the Broadway Cambell plaza Safeway have been pleasant. The store is clean and easy to navigate. If I am not able to find something, the staff is friendly and informative. Among the reasons I shop at this Safeway, friendly staff, fresh produce, refundable dairy containers, fresh meat cuts, prepared meals, health foods, coffee shop, deli, and bakery. I enjoy the in store shopping experience. However they have DUG (drive up and go) those associates are well organized, fast, informative, and friendly. This Safeway will always be my store as long as I live in Tucson. Thanks Safeway on Broadway!

I visited Safeway today to pick-up up a few things. One thing I had to get was my chocolate milk!! That is one of my true enjoyments. As I went to the cooler to get it, I noticed there was only one half gallon left and it was pushed all the way to the back. I attempted to reach it but at 5'3" was not successful. I looked around to see if there was a Safeway employee that I could ask to get it for me. I finally looked towards the bakery and a young gentleman by the name of Adan happened to be there. I told him of my dilemma and he immediately assisted without hesitation. He went to the back and pushed it forward for me. He went above and beyond and offered great customer service!! It is rare to find that nowadays, so I wanted to give him kudos, and tell you that you are very lucky to have him work at your store!!

Two employees talking loud as hell about they’d hurt their family members if they ended up getting a lot of piercings like me :)

Rude and purposefully unhelpful. I've been here three times because it's convenient and was treated blatantly rude twice. I won't be back. Cashier told me I had to go back into the store and take a picture of the label even though it was CLEARLY ringing up as the wrong item.
