Bright, clean and excellent options of groceries. Meat prices are better than the brand name stores. Produce is fresh, nicely displayed and prices are great. Today was the first visit, but we will continue to shop. Someone said the store is focused on Mexican food. We found items that were generally purchased at and grocery or discount stores. Can't wait to grill the flank steak that was only $8.00 a pound.

Every other day they do in-house fresh roasted green chilis - they are outstanding. My family has bought fresh chili and home made tortillas here for years - wonderful taste, always fresh, affordable - we make them into chili relleno but whatever you choose you cant go wrong.

We went to 3 different stores before Food City. They were the only ones to have everything we needed to make our beans. The ham hocks were huge and meaty. The produce was fresh. The lemons are huge! The tomatoes are actually red not pink. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have everything that you need to cook authentic Mexican meals. No taco bell here. 😉 Muchas Gracias! 🥳🪅

Update from 12-14-2024 I think the box they have inside the store for Letters to Santa is a great idea! It's still an awesome store with great produce and deals. I checked out through Robert's line. He was an extra friendly cashier, maybe doing that job as the store was quite busy. He told me he had been a manager there for 3 months. Way to go Food City on an excellent hire! I believe that Robert is the most friendly and attentive manager of any grocery store manager I have ever come across. He is a true asset to this store! Update from 1-7-24 This is a great Food City! I'll add a star back on for their service and friendly employees! Update from 1/15/23 I still really like this Food City, so I hate taking a star away. Unfortunately, I was surprised and disappointed to be told that I could not be given a rain check for the ad price of the flap meat that was sold out. The reason was that I was there on a Sunday, and the sale price was good through Tuesday, which was the day I would get a rain check if the meat was sold out then. Fortunately, since it was Sunday, I was given the rain check for the T-bones as that sale ended on Sunday. The cashier who usually checks out my groceries was not there, and possibly this lady was a new employee? I'm not sure. Anyway, my original post is still true. Original post I love the great deals on meat and produce here!

This is the store I've been going to at least 3 or 4 times a week for the last 3 months during the day shift and I have to say the ladies working their are awesome, the Manager is way cool and acknowledges his shoppers, the meat department kills it. Thank you to everyone that works at that location, nice job everyone. The manager could be a lady for all I know but this location is where I have been going to for the last seven months, I'm new to Tucson and the experience I've gotten here keeps me coming back, I would like to thank you for making me feel welcome to this store, God bless you ladies and gentlemen that makes me support your establishment for this community!
