Karen D 4 months agoA slice of heaven!! AJs is truly a gourmet grocery store. Whenever I want to fine the very best, I come here and find just about anything I want that will spoil my taste buds. I especially like the salad bar for lunches with the fresh meats and vegetables. But they also have sushi, soups, sandwiches & pizzas, and hot entrees. The fruit are extra large and very ripe ready to eat, and the meat counter has some of my favorites like the Shepards pie and artichoke stuffed chicken. I believe that they rotate some items. AJs is definitely a purveyor of fine foods! And when I can’t find what I want I often go to the clearance shelf at the back of the store to find just missed seasonal and discontinued items for much less.
Norman Rodriguez 8 months agoHaven’t been to Aj’s in 9 months because life was busy. Went tonight for pizza. Aj’s used to be the hidden gem, now it’s the food equivalent of Ai slop. The whole pizza is a cheese mush (see photo). Aj’s pizza team used to be Olympic. It’s now amateur hour.
Richie Hilbert 11 months agoI’ve been a loyal customer of AJ’s Fine Foods for over five years, and I can confidently say that the past three months have been truly exceptional—largely due to the remarkable presence of Chef Ryan. Chef Ryan has elevated the culinary experience at this location to the level of a Michelin-star restaurant. The quality, presentation, and consistency of his dishes are outstanding. But what truly sets him apart is his passion, energy, and the authentic connections he builds with customers. Every interaction with him is uplifting; even on a tough day, a brief conversation with Chef Ryan is enough to turn things around. His impact is so meaningful that I now call ahead just to see if he’s working. I no longer ask what’s on the menu—I simply know that whatever he’s preparing will be nothing short of exceptional. Chef Ryan doesn’t just cook—he curates an experience. He has become the heart and soul of the culinary department, and his presence has redefined what it means to dine in-store at AJ’s. I strongly urge store leadership to recognize his immense value and do whatever is necessary to retain him. Talent and character like his are rare and irreplaceable.
Anita Walters 7 months agoFirst time ordering Thanksgiving dinner-- it was excellent! The Diestel turkey was very juicy and browned beautifully, and the sides, gravy and pies were delish. Great sage flavor in the stuffing (though some celery/other crunchies would enhance it even more), apricot pieces in the sweet potatoes (yum!), great herbed butter on the mashed potatoes, and the pies were fantastic (highly recommend the caramel apple, but the pumpkin filling was great too). And the turkey butter sculpture-- mwaah! (chef's kiss). Even the rolls, which looked pretty plain, were better than average store-bought. A few notes: Be sure to follow ALL the heating directions and go a little over for some items-- allow a full hour and a half to finish the (larger) turkey, and some of the sides take more than 1/2 hour (the green beans and scalloped potatoes were underdone at 30 min.). The artichoke beignet appetizer was yummy, but for the portion size, not worth $60. The dinner was pricey, what you'd pay for a fancy dinner out, but we had lots of leftovers, so... Also, advise picking up EARLY! The staff was hustling, but still, looong lines at 11 a.m.
Daniella Ag 2 months agoThe flowers at our wedding were beyond anything I could have imagined. Every arrangement was stunning, elegant, and perfectly matched the vision for our day. Meagan made the entire process feel easy and stress free, and the final result truly helped make it the best wedding ever. We received so many compliments from our guests on the florals all night long. I’m so grateful for Meagan’s talent, creativity, and attention to detail. I would recommend AJ’s Fine Foods flowers to anyone looking for incredible flowers!
